"Your Dominant Characteristic in the Seasonal Color Analysis - Glowing"

If your dominant characteristic is Warm then you likely to have an overall golden glow, completely different from a Cool. So if your dominant characteristic seems to be an all-over warm look then you probably belong to this group in the seasonal color analysis. Many classic red heads fall within this coloring.

Here is an example of a Warm (Nicole Kidman) and a Cool (Brooke Shields). As you can see a Warm has obvious warm undertones compared to a Cool’s ashy look:

Typical Characteristics of a Warm Coloring

These are your dominant characteristics and that set you apart from the rest in the seasonal color analysis:

  • Your hair color is typically a warm and golden red or auburn, but strawberry blonde to medium chestnut brown is also common.
  • Eye color ranges from brown (not super dark brown or black-brown) to topaz, light hazel to olive green, and even a warm blue.
  • Skin tone has apparent warm undertones, however if you have blue eyes, the blues may make your skin look neutral.

Warm vs. Clear

If your coloring is a lighter shade of red and appears more blonde, and your eyes clear, then you may be a Clear, not Warm, such as Heather Graham.

Your Coloring is Medium Intensity

Your overall color value level is a medium, which means that if your coloring shows any indication of deepness (darker hair color or eyes) you may be a Deep instead.

Hilaru Duff is an example of someone who appears Deep at first glance, however if you look closely, her eyes are much earthy with a mix of brown and greens, and the intensity of your brown hair is a notch or two less than a classic Deep.

If you have a lighter hair color or eye color than stated you may be a Soft or Light.

Your Best Colors

Compared to Clear, Soft, Deep and Light, a Warm (along with Cool) doesn’t flow into a cooler/warmer group. However an Autumn’s color palette may overlap with a Spring, and vice versa. So your color palette is strictly warm – which means you’ll more than likely have difficulties wearing colors with cool/bluish undertones.

Are you a Medium or Light?

To figure out if you’re a Warm Autumn or Warm Spring, you need to figure if you suit lighter/clear or medium/muted colors – which is a different approach to the “Warm or Cool”-test, because you already know that you’re a warm!. Also, another difference between these two is that Warms Springs need clearer colors, while Warm Autumns need muted colors.

Here’s an example of a Medium (Kate Beckinsale) and Light Warm:

The Color Palettes-
Warm Spring and Warm Autumn

Warm Spring

From Left: Camel, bronze, golden brown, dark brown, stone, grey green, peach, light orange, coral, tomato red, rust, buff, green, light true green, evergreen, emerald turquoise, jade, teal, moss, deep periwinkle.

Some of your best colors are warm, muted with a brightness to them, which include light true green which appears icky to anyone who is not a Spring, but you can wear it beautifully. Some of your best neutrals are ivory and golden browns.

Examples of celebs with Warm-hued Spring color palette: Amy Adams, Nicole Kidman, Reba McEntire, Christina Hendricks

If you suit light/clear or medium/muted colors better will reveal if you’re a Warm Spring or Warm Autumn. See the slight brightness in the Spring palette compared to Autumn’s?

Always take the silver or gold test to be sure.

Warm Autumn

From Left: Camel, khaki, coffee brown, cream, medium brown, dark brown, light salmon, dark peach, salmon, pumpkin, rust, terracotta, aubergine, light yellow, light moss, evergreen, marigold, emerald turquoise, teal, forest green, light periwinkle, purple.

Your palette may resemble Deep Autumn’s but yours is much muted and consists mostly of peach, greens and browns. They look amazing with your earthy coloring. Blue looks off on you. Some of your best neutrals are cream and dark chocolate. If you dye your hair dark brown you’ll be able to wear tomato red and black.

Examples of celebs with W. Autumn coloring: Isla Fisher, Debra Messing, Kate Beckinsale, Lindsay Lohan, Marcia Cross
